Nassau Trail conditions

I'm here now and it's perfect. Frozen. But as soon as it warms up it's going to be slop. I think this weekend is a no-go.

I take it back. This place is fucked up. OG Nassau side is fine. Sunny slope is trashed. Defrosting frozen rutts everywhere. Really sad.

Stay away.

What you playing hooky today @jShort ? Yoga, riding middle of the day....jeeash.

Anyone ride here lately? Hoping get out for an early ride tomorrow morning.

Trails are still closed. I dove by yesterday and noticed a few things:
1. The parking lots are are blocked off with fallen trees and conspicuously placed rocks.
2. All trail heads are blocked off with caution tape. The trail head heading up the switch backs is basically blocked by collapsed trees and brushes.
3. There's a few no trespassing signs for good measure.
4. The trail still looked ( from the road) like a mix of mud, slush, snow, and.... more fallen trees.

I'd say it's probably not a great idea to ride here until it's officially reopened.

I hiked there last weekend and there was tons of downed trees and branches. I cleaned as much as I could, but didn't have a saw. Parking lot and trails are still marked as closed, but the trails were fine.

I think I saw on Facebook that they were doing trail maintenance yesterday, so maybe someone can chime in on the latest.

Sorry, just curious, what is preventing opening?

I'm pretty sure it's still muddy AF. But I haven't actually looked or been there in a couple months so I'm just going by what other local trails look like.

A couple trails need some work. Working again this weekend, that's why I think next week will be good to go. We are getting together this to make plans then I will post again.thanks again for the patience.

Ya it's hard to believe, but it's probably still a mud bog in spots. Voorhees is still shitty in spots.
