My Rant & Rave

This is where a bell comes in handy, especially on the blind turn on the glass trail (when coming from the fireroad). Some people REALLY think they are the only ones who ride this park, I would love to see some of these priests of the Allaire cyclehood come out to trail maintenance.

It is the responsibility of all of us to ride under control at all times. That means being able to control our speed and stop for others that we encounter on the trails.

Admittedly, I go stupid fast down that trails. Feels like a bobsled run and the banked turns are awesome. I typically avoid going up it but will follow my group of buds if that is the way they go.

Unfortunate things may happen. Let's try to be gentlemen. Keep your head up and a finger on the brakes. Anyone suggesting the trail is one way is just a self-righteous asshat.

I have to agree whole heartedly with this statement. Most seem to ride looking at their front wheel or a few feet in front of them. We too enjoy going fast down Serpentine and have gone up it and met other riders coming down in the process. No problems but I am looking up the trail where I want to go. At times I need to call to the other rider just to get their attention. Admittedly we ride a lot during the week.

Tools

Most of these tools look down at front tire; if they looked up there would be no surprises, also do they know how to modulate their brakes.
The trails are thick and speeds should be lowered to account for conditions, very sandy and rocky in some areas.

LOL, good thing I wasn't going for it.....the headlines would have read "Rider squashed by Locomotive" 😱

That's why we let you lead down that trail it's great to see the faces of the people that we run into...on a serious note there are a lot of flowy trails in all the parks and we all will go fast down them for time to time we just need to be aware that we are not the only users of the trails. Case in point is the night that Schmitty ran into the horse back rider on the serpentine trail 🙂

Yes, the rockiest of all the rocky trails in the entire geomass of the universe. Allaire, the rock captital of the solar system.

Odd thing is, no matter how many cars I ever see in the parking lot, I never see anyone on the trails. Go figure. Am I that lucky. LOL
