Mountain Man Biathlon

Internet is back on my phone finally. Mountain man was great as usual, perfectly dry racing conditions despite a few leaf obstacles 🙂 I had a blast and beat my last year's time by almost 4 minutes. I did the Mountain Man Biathlon this year (2012) and it was a blast! Looking forward to it next year. Does anyone know if there are pictures from the event? Thanks!
 
As much as running hates me. I love this event. I can't make it cause it the same day as the Bubble CX RACE! :cry:
 
Awesome weather for today's event.
So much so that a tech t-shirt under my jersey was too much!

gotta like the attitude - feel like riding your bike in transition, go ahead.
the course goes over those picnic tables - so a bunch of people ran over the tables!

My first time doing this event. Really enjoyed the whole thing. Was surprised how weak my legs were on the transition to the 2nd run. Took awhile for them to feel normal. Pretty happy to crack the top 25 overall

Fantastic day at LM. Small field of 80 participants this year. Saw 2Julianas took a 4th overall female! thin diesel did a 3rd in ag. I pulled a 4th in ag. Beer was in a keg. Awards went 5 deep!

Thanks for posting this! I didn't realize there were age-based results. Once again this was a fun and demanding event. Weather was good, trails were dry, and the beer was cold. This year I made sure to get a good start on the first run to avoid getting bogged down in the single file traffic - this helped a bit. The biking went fine as I sailed through my two laps and only got passed twice, yet I passed way more than passed me, despite being on my SS. Once again though, the legs aren't there for that 2nd run. Lots of guys passed me there. In the end, though my overall time was about the same as last year my overall finish was 3 spots better, and that is satisfying.
