Mother's Day Ideas - HELP!

So we were going to do a bike ride on the D&R, then play golf (W1f3. son (15yo), me)

At 55F and raining, this does not seem like the type of activity which would be memorable in a good way.
(@Norm - am i mixing verb tense there?)

Ideas?

Art is good, gardens are good, small excellent food is good (no brunch-a-thons)
NYC is fine, Philly, points between.

Switch and do something this evening while the weather is great... Then on Sunday do a early morning matinee.... Maybe drop her off at the spa to get manicure and pedicure...

NY Botanical garden though I would bet their restaurant is prolly booked. Maybe do the Zoo also as they are next door per say. I am sure you can find a good Columbian restaurant.
