Lessons for the road:
Don't fart with the heated seats on.
If there is a restroom stop, pee even if you don't have to.
Gas station coffee. Lots of nope.
"I'm definitely forgetting something." Words whispered to myself through the morning. It's always a struggle finding the balance between being overpacked and under prepared.
My day started with picking up the duh'vinci from Wycoff Cycles. I had a last minute rebuild done on the post since it had some sag. Glenn's old bike, on Glenn's old rack.
I went straight to Lucas' shop afterwards to help him wrap up a job before the road trip. Got in a bit of fender bender that dampered the spirits a bit. Only a few minutes before getting a car wash to.
Got the wash anway. Clean for the ride!
I left my bike and gear at lucas' house before parting ways. I would later carpool with Stephen (bighead) to the house later to meet up with Maciej and Lucas.
Rack installation in progress. Damn it got cold out. And everyone's bars are way to wide.
Finally on the road. I took the first 4 hour shift. Game on. The stars are always nicer outside of Jersey .
Sunrise creeped up after a few driver shift changes and a few state lines crossed. In Ohio as I type.
Big thanks to
@gtluke for the rack. It's making life a hell of a lot easier. We didn't have space for your couch in the bed though. Next time brotha'.
7ish hours in.. Only a shitload more to go
