Who has been? Going out for a few days and trying to get some riding in. Most likely going to rent and will be riding solo. I may bring my El Mariachi, what should I set it up for?

Any recommendations on rentals in town?

Most likely will have a few hours here and there as I will be there for another event. Whats close to down and good?

Johnny Utah!

1. Enchilada obviously. Almost all downhill so you’ll love it after the shuttle to the top. Not sure how high you’ll be able to go depending on snow.

2. Amasa/Ahab.

3. Slickrock. Unfortunately didn’t do this one, but it’s always at the top of the list.

I have never been but have come to realize that FS works in these types of places not necessarily beacuse of the tech but because u r flying down the mountain at mach speeds for miles.

Moab Cyclery, Chile Pepper bike shop, Poison Spider bike shop. All good for rentals and gear and shuttles to the top of Whole Enchilada (11,300ft). Agree with @1sh0t1b33r on the recommended trails. Download Trailforks and you’re good to go.

I think we hit all the bike shops there and Chili Pepper was my favorite. Didn't rent though, but they had a cool vibe. You should take the death bus up, contrary to Utah's recommendations.

Jeep week? The top of TWE will be closed due to snow.

Bring a Garmin mount with you. Poison Spider (tubeless rentals!) sold us two that we still have.

I'll be there from the 30th to April 7th. I'll have my mountain bike and dirt bike. I may actually have room in our condo if you need a place to stay.
I'll let you know what day I'm riding MTB but I'll definitely be riding the 6th and 7th but possibly in Grand Junction/Fruita. One day earlier in the week too; Sigety and I will run as much of the whole enchilada as is open. We're also renting razr's for a day too, not sure where we are headed with those yet.

Nice! I am rolling out the 20th and flying back the 28th. We have a condo with two garages for the buggies/Jeeps we are bringing. Hoping to get some riding in later in the trip as we are tied up Friday through Sunday with industry things.

I've slick rock is fun but boring. There is a little slick rock trail that's suppose to be fun and enough to get a taste. It should be a blast

Had a chance stop at Moab last week for few days and rented from Chile Pepper bike shop. Great experience renting from them. I kind of wished that I could have picked up the night before (Chile Pepper does that when summer starts) to start riding at sunrise as temperatures were hot (104F as shown on my Garmin around noon time) and no shade / clouds anywhere. I hit up Moab Brand trail system as it was close to town. Awesome time riding there. Slickrock has texture reminiscent of coarse sand paper, giving the 2.4" tires on the Trance I rented amazing traction.
