This is great. I also think this race was needed to make a MASS Enduro series this year. 👍

I’ve only ridden here once and that was the 3 hour race in the fall. Is there a lot that wasn’t in that race? Any really technical sections?
This could be fun on a down county-esq bike.

Blue is pretty much as rocky as it gets there and the endurance course used that.

We've been speculating where they're going to find 4+ downhills to time in the park. Marty's Trail will surely be one....down yellow? Down Green?

Ive never Enduro 'd
🤔

Trexxxfest is a blast for a first timer.

Orange trail wasnt in the Marty's race - ive only been down walked down that trail once, and I fell while doing it like 7 year ago. From my PTSD recall I think its mostly just a series of rocks and no dirt but I could be wrong.

Not sure if that will be on this event.

We're gonna use a few of the trails you had raced on including the Marty's Trail which has some jumps and berms. That trail also has a nice drop that wasn't used in the endurance race. You also went up a pretty long climb which will be used in reverse for the enduro. Dickerson definitely has some tech sections that we avoided for the endurance race.

We will use the Marty's trail for sure. We also have 3 stages starting at the highest point in Dickerson and going to the lowest point using a few different trails. Another one of the stages will be the trail on the corner of Rt46 and Canfield Ave that was used in the 2023 Endurance Race (2024 was a climb that hurt). There is a new approved trail in the works so that may be used. The goal is minimize pedaling and let gravity do most of the work.
The overall plan is to build the enduro racing scene and add this race so MASS has a full series.

I started checking out some of the stages....havent done all of them yet....I think it will be fun...nothing overly challenging as enduros go, but fun stuff to rip thru.

Orange is the only "super" technical trail and not sure if they'll use it (didnt for the Endurance because it's kind of a dead end). The place isn't very big so whatever you rode for the endurance should be in the enduro. I'm aslo assuming there'll be some uphills in the Enduro sections because there ain't much elevation either.

This is cool. Some of us have talked about which area parks would work best holding an enduro. Glad to see something happening in NJ.

As compared to Glen Park I don't think there's really anything spooky here.

Enduro is always the answer.

Dickerson was a ski resort back in the day! We have around 200' of vertical to work with. The stages we mapped out range between 130' and 186' of elevation loss with 10-15' of gain. 5 stages is the goal!
