Maprika user question

I thought maprika was just a map that links to your gps to show you where you are. Or you asking about creating a map?

Download and save your rides to a pc, isn't that what strava is?

It's saved on the phone, would like to transfer the saved rides to pc or lap top. I have no idea how strava does it.

If you recorded the track in Maprika you can select it from the app and send it to yourself by email as a gpx or kml file.

You can also share your location with others, even using the online map, like for a road ride or sharing off trail locations.

Android or iOS ?
Android sent email, PC opens email, click link to map. Shows title of ride, max speed etc, waiting to transfer. And then times out. Same deal if I use phone to open email. Missing something...

Try the "Send Track" option instead and choose GPX. That should attach the actual file to email, instead of a link to the file.

Also "Export File" will spit out the gpx to a folder on your device which you could then attach manually. I'd try the send option first.

man this seems like a lot of trouble when strava automatically uploads from your p hone when you save and then you can just download the GPX file if you want it directly from the website . . .

I give up... If a PHD in computer tech is required, this chit is not for me.

Writing down the miles and date is easier.

You were most of the way there already. Or just use strava to record your ride. You can still open maprika to see where you're going while Strava records in the background

Could not get it to work. I dunno...

I was interested in trying this again, a google search brought me here....

Must be the only one in the whole world that would like to save rides to a PC
