All year: Bibs and liners are a wash every time
Summer: Jerseys / shirts, every time, outshell (baggies) every few rides
Winter, next to skin layers are usually every ride, with the exception of wool base layers; maybe two rides. Outer shells; pants, tights, leg warmers, outer jersey shells, etc. are every few rides.

neck gators/hats/gloves are when they are stretched out (hats and nexk gators), very dirty or stink. every ride.
This is close to my approach, although I tend to wash almost everything after each ride.

Wife wears a lot of yoga pants and wool tops and socks, so we have a full-size tech wear washer load on riding days. We hang dry overnight and its usually dry in 24 hours for the next ride.

Exceptions i.e. items not washed after each use:
- Rapha over socks (literally cotton-blend socks that go over road shoes). In fall and springtime, these are a pain to get on/off so they stay part way over road shoes for a few rides depending on conditions.
- outer-most layer if its a jacket, especially one with DWR treatment.

Wash clothes touching skin after every ride. Others if dirty/ damp, or after 2 rides. Ensure gloves not stored in helmet. Put funky gloves in ziplock with a dryer sheet, overnight. Wash gloves occasionally.

Hang dry all biking apparel. No dryer.

This is one of this topics where you are curious but then when you find out what others are doing it’s horrifying.

As mentioned already I don’t know how anyone can wear bibs with a chamois or anything that touches skin more than once. Especially bib shorts and for me I need chamois cream to prevent saddle sores. After a ride I can’t wait to get changed as fast as possible.

Over 10 years of riding I have a pretty decent collection of multiple bibs, base layers and jerseys for all conditions. I only wear most things once and then it gets hung up to properly dry/air out before it goes in the wash pile.

Exceptions would be leg/arm warmers they usually can last a few rides unless they get muddy. Also I have a few differnt pairs or longer Fall and winter tights that don’t have a chamois I can wear those a few times
Same for jackets I can wear a few times but I let them air out inside our immediately after a ride.

For laundry it’s gentle cycle and never any kind of fabric softener it can break down the fabric. Everything gets line dried I have my own section in the basement to hang up my cycle gear. It’s one of those wire shelves that I attached to the unfinished ceiling and gives me a lot of room for hangers.

I am also taking notes on who to not ride behind whenever we have another big meet up. 🤪

I'm all kitted up. Just got 3 new Club Ride shirts for Christmas. 2 short sleeves and a long sleeve.

In general, everything that touches skin goes into the hamper to be washed after a ride. My baggy shorts get washed every few rides, depending on how dirty the ride was.

I have a second closet dedicated to my riding jerseys and jackets, since I have so much of it. I have dresser drawers dedicated to riding gear, although they aren't large enough. I still wear some jerseys I've had for almost 30 years, although I definitely look like a MAMIL in those. But I am, so whatever...

That said, after the house remodel in a few years, I'm hoping I can create a better storage setup for my riding gear.
