Making time to play with myself

I've never been to Gloucester, though if yer dragging non-cyclists along, it'd be the one to do. (On the harbor, super-pretty, walkable town right there, etc.)
Providence is a great place to experience Woody Allen's inter-faith camp joke, where he "was savagely beaten by children of all races and creeds." And through all the different flavors of "What the f*ck is THIS?" there was someone who was really good at that little bit of awful, ready to drive a stake into your heart. Again. And again. Like @The Heckler said, "super fun". I'll be going back again this year.
(Not that I'm counting, but aren't there a BUNCH of months before this is relevant?)

maybe i should have asked, which one is Sean AND Heckler going to?

SOUNDS LIKE THE ANSWER IS PROVIDENCE.

Providence is high on my radar this year.

Do it, LDB will hopefully have a tent again.

That was interesting - I've never seen a cx race before. Is that a typical course? Also noticed one guy ahead of the guy with the camera seemed to have flats instead of clipless - is that an advantage?

I can't think of anything worse then racing CX on platforms. It would be like brutally smashing your head in the tailgate of a F150 pickup truck for 45 minutes while everyone else around you was kicking back out the couch watching a nice comedy drinking pale ale. That poor soul must still be on his cycling platform trial period.

Of course maybe the guy actually prefers the flats..

It's crazy how perfectly I remember this course. Down to details like "outside here to avoid the cement block, slick corner, the feeling of those stairs after the climb and pavement, my aggressive double pass I made to catch Donnie by the pit hairpin. So much in detail. Thanks for posting this Sean! It's never too early!

I have a 120v outlet in my truck however I don't know how it works... I'll have to check up on that. We are taking one vehicle you know. You will need air mattress if you want to be cushy.

And grains and nuts sounds like you're a nomad, or a caveman. I'm bringing a fishing pole... Pan seared fish would be insane after a ride.
