Well, I tried to get the 2 on the northern loop this morning. With more time and cooler temps I MIGHT have been able to clear them. Also trimmed a bit along the whole loop. Might go give it another whirl later this week.

There's a double tree down on what TFs calls Sugarloaf or the Farm. Don't remember the exact locale, but those are really one (new) trail that's not super long. Each around the size of what's pictured above, unfortunately.

Another annoyance on the new(er) flow trail that ends at the pavilion. You can get around it, but it really ruins the speed/flow at the end. It's like two switchbacks above the pavilion.

There was one more closer to the backside of the park, but it was too hot to remember!

Finally made it back to this spot today and luckily someone got there before me with a chainsaw. Logs all gone so I dropped the saw and picked up the hedge trimmers and trimmed both singletrack sections and the double track between them. Also, not sure if this was the heat or someone stepped things up a notch with some chemical warefare against the prickers!

Thanks for helping out so much. I should be getting back on my bike this week so I can get around and let the park know if anything needs clearing.

Trails are in great shape even after yesterday's downpour and this morning's drizzle. New orange trail is awesome. Just what the park needed. Green along the doe meadow field needs a mow but all else was pretty good.

I feel like I completely by chance found the best loop with the new trails

Please continue to report trail conditions here. Morris County parks is actively checking here for reported issues. This is also an opportunity to call out specific sections that need to be looked at and improved. We are looking to start up some trail work days in September to finish off the white section and fix any reported problem areas.

There's the constant mud bog on yellow (blue circle), and a very burned in trail that seems to dead-end at a golf course that seems rogue (red circle):

That red circled trail leads to an area where I believe the park uses to dump debris. It's been there a while.

When I rode that earlier this year, I am pretty sure I saw some flags in the woods there. Like it was a designed trail. Elmo Shrug.

No it looks like a garbage dump. I mean, maybe that was your joke? So yes, yes it does.

maybe....

Delbarton is on the the other side of the park.....
perhaps the dump for the golf course?

damn kids

Park is super dry, watch out for golf ball to softball size death cookies on the fire roads (rocks.) they seem to be all over the place.

White extension is starting to shape up. Keep an eye out for an up coming trail day.
