what a great day of racing for all the kids and big kids.
Congratulations to all the kids who raced in the 7th annual hilltop grasshopper.....they toughed out warmer temperatures and a rugged real mountainbike course that even gave adults some trouble ! Rest assured, we won't be changing the course.
we are so glad we had a larger turn out for the grade 6-8 boys and girls classes, we hope that translates to more racers participating in the NICA race series for middle and highschool students
and how about those younger boy and girl rippers, lots of race faces out there working their bikes up the hills and thru the rocks and roots
many many thanks to Brendan and Derek from CycleCraft for ensuring bikes were ready for the rugged kid's korse, they did it all from fixing flats to getting forks turned the right way (thanks walmart bike set up!)....i'm betting there's going to be a few racers stopping in at CycleCraft because they earned an even faster machine for next season
and many many thanks to all the volunteers who made this event safe and fun, dino, stephen X 2, david, anne, mary, sam, nina, ben, stephane, frank and of course the queen of the event ronda.....without all their help onsite on race day, we could never get the racers started on time
and thanks to help from the essex county parks department, Jimmy & Tim for having all the infrastructure up and ready early.....and for sheriffs Tom and Ford for being onsite to assist if needed
class top finisher results to be posted this evening
so the next hilltop grasshopper is now officially being announced......August 12, 2017.....same kid's korse.....same times......same fun
