Gathering gear for Kansas. 2 new pieces of kit that I'm missing. A tiny rear bikepacking bag, and an ultra light rain shell. Coupled with a Dynamo hub and light I should be able to run only that rear bag. Save space and weight for a 5th bottle.

According to Trackleaders there are only 5 of us in the SSXL field. Only 60 so far Total but I'm sure not everyone signed up yet. Quite a contrast to the 500 Billion people that show up to race in Saturday's Main Event.

Heard those flint rocks are hard enough... give me the volume and slightly lower pressure. On mile 150 when you are pounding that single speed those 48’s will feel right.

If i had to guess, the railroad track rock around here is a great point of reference. What do i know other than the coverage i watch on youtube😬😬🥴

I've watched all those same YouTubes, and have been texting JayP. I'm all about that 48c life but everyone else says it's overkill. I'm gonna ride them at the Jersey Gravel Grinder tomorrow to see if they're actually faster. If they're not, I'm going 48c.

Man was it HOT on Sunday!!

After doing a full day of trail work Saturday, I was super sore Sunday Morning. Just rolled around suffering in the heat and eating donuts. I drank 7 bottles. I think mostly because I barely drank anything on Saturday and started in a deficit. Good times.
