Insurance company wants to verify mileage driven?

Has anybody ever received a request from their insurance company asking for verification of annual mileage driven? I received a letter yesterday. It only asks about my truck, not the other two vehicles on the policy. They want recent dated service records 3 to 6 months apart to verify the actual odometer readings or they will adjust it to some report they received from "a third party vendor" which shows two mileage readings back in 2017 (which is before I purchased the truck).

I know my policy is up for renewal so I figure no matter what I say it's going up.

Do people read the policy? I told them I average 13k on this car. My last two oil change receipts would make it look like I drive even less. I just find the request weird.

My company (USAA) has been satisfied with my estimates. They prompt me every so often to update them.

I service my own cars. A request like yours would result in a scan of my hand written notes.

I've been with Liberty Mutual for about 30 years and this is a first.

I had NJM for 22 years and my wife 30 years, never had this request.
