How to annoy co-worker that sits next to me.

I think in the last 2 month's I've:
Cubed a cubical completely shut
Moved the handicapped sign to someone's parking spot.
Almost every day I change at least 3 people's monitor's 180deg. (alt-ctl-up on most dell's, most don't know the shortcut to undo this)
 
Oh this is right up my ally being a SYS Admin...

Try this one...save the image to your local pc, then get your sys admin so make this his screen saver and when he leaves his pc for a bit, the screen saver will kick in.

Also create a power point slideshow with questionalbe pics (gender is an option) 😀, and have your admin place it one pc somehwere and have it run as a screen saver or a scheduled task to run at a certain time.

and Get onto her PC and put a few creative auto spell check adjustments in place on Word. We had a guy once that dealt with Verizon about 12 times a day and bitched about it constantly. We replaced 'Verizon' with 'Rimjob Incorporated' in spell check and thought nothing of it, assuming he would see it. I think it was after the 2nd letter he typed had been emailed to Verizon, err, Rimjob Incorporated that he discovered the change. Yeah, we got called on the carpet for it but it's still a great laugh.

OH.. and this is great too, but you have to buy it and instal it after hours, but "Oh the fun it will bring"

Oh, most phone systems if you play long enough you can figure out how to call another extension and when they pick up they are just put on intercom. That's a great one too.

Start watching "the office" on tv. It is chuck full of good ideas that won't get you fired in the process. Another would be the old fashioned layoff rumor mill, etc.
 
This wasnt a prank but we had a guy who used to clip his finger and toe nails in the office. The noise was really annoying and the ladies all complained how gross it was.

I like the switching the letters on the keyboard idea. I did that to my keyboard a while ago. You'd be surprised how many people will keep hittng the same button expecting something different to happen. It wasn't "G" the first time you hit it, it's not going to be on the tneth time either...
 
put a large dish of candy on their desk. make sure it is in good view - then everyone will want to stop by to snag a bite... and also to talk - if said coworker is the type who hates interupptions, this will work magic. make sure you make plenty of visits for 'just one more kitkat' yourself.

another thing - constantly complain about the temperature of the office. change your complaint to it being too hot to too cold every hour or so. make it convincing by wearing a jacket when its too cold.

I spent a semester in College burning the back of people's necks to see if being treated like shit made you feel more physical pain.

I don't have any office pranks but working in machine shops for 20 years has taught me a few sure fire way to annoy people.
Put a little grease on the back of handles of toolbox drawers.
Crazy glue tool bits to the work bench.
"The hammer test", When someone is working & concentrating on their job whack a ball peen hammer on the bench behind them and watch 'em jump!
