HorseShoe Scramble '12.

It wouldn't be the Scramble if there wasn't mud...

Good thing this is the last race of the season for me...it may take me a while to get my bike clean!

Can't wait!

If you are thinking of doing it - even on a mtb - go for it! This was "the race" that got me hooked on CX - and I did it on my FS mtb!
 
Clockwise. The start will be on the gravel road in front of the year like the first 2 years. Most of the course is marked so it should be pretty easy to find your way around at this point.

We'll be down there tomorrow morning finishing so stop by!!

It's warm up here at the moment, everyone should spray their bikes with PAM tonight 😀

Course is completely set-up and ready to rock. Prizes are organized. Fat demo course is built. should be a hootin' good time!!

We stole these bleachers from the football field and set them up for people to yell!! Shimano gave us cowbells and those blow up noise things so stick around and party with us!!

Ok that was enough mud for me. I wanted it to be slick in the corners. The long trudge up that hill was something else. I was doing good until my bike gave up. Chalk up one busted wheel and busted derailleur. It was still a great time in awesome conditions!
 
Nice I would guess around there too. It wasn't even the hanger either, the whole derailleur body snapped. Good thing it's 105.

I saw ya walking and knew it couldn't be good. That was just before mine exploded. It was the theme of the day if you didn't have a pit mechanic.

Thanks guys for putting on a great race. I saw 5 derailleurs break.

i managed to finish with my bike in one piece but it did look like it was wearing a ghillie suit.
