Help with shifting in Bridgewater

Anybody in the Bridgewater area work on bikes 'on the side'?
Brought my bike into the LBS for spring setup and they found a small crack at the weld in the rear swing arm. I am looking into a new bike, but in the meantime my bike still needs some help because I am having minor shifting issues.
Because of the crack in the rear swing arm, the LBS won't do any work on the bike. I want to ride it while I work on getting my next bike.

It is an '09 Kona One 20. Finding a replacement swing arm would be dynamite! I went to Halters who is a Kona dealer, posted here in the Wanted section, and on Pink Bike; no luck.
I don't think the crack is causing the shifting issue. It is small and isn't flexing to cause the kind of shifting difficulty. If I knew more about how all the derailleur/gears worked I'd do my best to fix it.
Appreciate the safety warning. The LBS was crystal clear about all your points and then some.

Can you get it welded? As it’s on a weld already it would be like new then.

When I brought that up at the LBS, he said that it then needs to be heat treated after the weld. I know less about welding than gears and derailleur so took his word for it.
Is that possible, just a quick weld?

@Dave Taylor

I'm sure there Halters guys are correct. Dave might give you an idea on cost. He is one of our metal whisperers

I still haven’t heard back from Kona, but I’m not hopeful that they have frame parts from 2009.

I believe it depends on the alloy but generally speaking it will need to be heat treated. Luckily it’s a swing arm so you don’t need to heat treat the whole frame.

Is the crack on the chainstay or the seatstay? If your bike is a One20 (and not a One20DL/Primo/Supreme according to the Kona website logic) it looks like you can actually order a replacement seatstay direct from Kona:

oooohhhhh was I excited there for a second. Sadly, it is not on the seat stay. Would've been the easiest $200 I ever spent! I appreciate you looking.
