I'd pass on the XTC 2 and save your pennies for the XTC 1. The Fox shock on the XTC 1 is well worth the price difference alone and its performance upgrade relative to the XTC 2 alternative is significant. I demoed both and went with the XTC 1, I love this bike!!

I tend to agree. I'm leaning towards the XTC 1 also. I was going to wait for the Alliance 1 but now I'm not so sure if its worth the extra $$.
