HARDLINE!

For a less super-human look at the Hardline course, Jenna Hastings posted a long (35 min) video of her and many other women warming up, walking the course, and then hitting some of the post-road gap sections and features.

Yep, saw that coming.

smart decision....its all about what looks good on TV and jumps never look as big on TV.....so you have to get them to this level of absurdity to satisfy the shitheads like this guy for example...who probably enjoys telling people how his favorite sport involves people dying.....which makes it cooler than your sport.

The previous hardline in tasmania looked awesome and didnt require circus stunt gap jumps.....(albeit the one at the end was big, but it didnt have an indiana jones pit to crash into) So they are capable of making a course look good on TV without this kind of stuff. And PS, that is the jankiest looking piece of shit I think I have ever seen redbull put their name too....This is the same company winning F1 championships and sending people into space....scaffolding? really?

I haven't seen any details yet, but my WAG is they figured out they didn't have time to rebuild the take-off before practice starts. And since the Jono Jones/enduro moto video proved the existing upper section of the course is still ridable, they're probably going with that. I wouldn't be surprised if a revised canyon jump is there next year. At least now the riders will be able to prepare for it.

On a side note, Jono Jones is a great representation of the "everyday man with dreams." Unlike his brother, riding bikes isn't his full-time job. His day-job is as a financial analyst in the corporate world. But unlike the rest of us, he still has enough talent/skill to go do things like ride Hardline.

BK just posted his vlog for the day and confirmed the canyon jump is out, but will be back for next year. They couldn't get the netting in time, or something. They re-routed the course around the sketchy hip-gap too. Now dropping back into the old course just above the big drop that was after the booter jump. Not going through the old woods section.

Nope. Gone. Good. That lip was just stupid. Same as Gee’s shitty landing pad at Rampage, and look where that got him.

I watched Bernard's vid after posting the other night and he mentioned (and showed) the weird right wooden hip that was built before the canyon gap. Sounds like Gee shouldn't be in control of the wooden/hard scape features lol

Looks like Hardline is heading to a weather condition cancellation for the second consecutive year...
Nope it happened and it was actually good. So good it actually motivated me to ride my bike for the second day in a row. It sucked (my ride), but still...

No spoilers. One take way though is that UCI and the industry in general must start looking seriously at South America (and other so far ignored areas). The urban DH scene seems to translate pretty well on dirt...

Definitely a great race. I ended up watching the replay as I had a morning ride planned. Probably worked out for the best since it means I didn't have to "watch" the weather delay.

Louise Ferguson became the first woman to complete a seeding run at Hardline Wales as she was the only female rider to complete a full run ahead of Saturday's timed test.
So stoked for this , hope she has a clean run for finals . Also saw 4 or 5 ladies do the 90 footers , absolutely insane.

FYI - The start time has been moved up. 9 AM BST ... which is unfortunately 4 AM EDT... 😴🥴
