Hey Folks, you really nailed it. The Stewart races are always like a gathering, wrapped in a race. People just seem so happy to be there, catch up, ride bikes. Good times. Really glad the reg numbers played out well, with what seemed a big draw from people outside the “regular” H2H participant group.
100% hats off and many, many thanks to everyone who contributes to make events like this possible, then go the extra mile to make it a great day. Good times.
Told Norm that the endurance race felt “harder” somehow than the 45, maybe mental due to the shorter lap, maybe because with this format, you don’t have a hard end point, you just keep going since you never know how the field is going to play out. For a “no real climb” course, that elevation really low key adds up when you’re going in circles for 4 hours...

Mucho kudos to the MTBNJ gang for putting on another badass H2H race. Course was fun, flowy and well marked. And the burgers and the ice cream was well worth the drive! Great family atmosphere as well. Great day all around! Thanks again!
