Greetings from Alabama

I'll bet the Alabama part got your attention. I was searching the internet the other day looking for some parts for a 29er build and stumbled across MTBNJ. I thought it would be cool to join your group even though I don't think I'll make many group rides. I have been riding over 30 years (I'm 55) and most of that time I have been riding off road. I worked for a bike shop in the early 80's and got to do a good bit of touring in our slow season including 2 tours across Mexico on my trusty old Ross Force 1 MTB. I plan on lurking around here in the future and just wanted to say hello. By the way if it makes Ya'll feel any better about the weather, when I got in from my ride earlier this afternoon it was 24 degrees, strong winds, and spitting snow here in North Alabama.

Way cool it was 55 but not a welcoming day for riding. Maybe we can convince to actually join in on a group ride. I sure as hell need a long weekend down your way well pisgah actually. I was able to get a good dude up from Georgia who had a blast. Anyway welcome!

how yall doin.
If your ever north of the mason dixon line give us a shout.
Welcome!

Hi,
and welcome. I spent a few days in Birmingham a before driving backt to NJ a few years ago. There looked to be plenty of nice riding down there.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I got to tell you though, there's something inherently wrong in this world when Y'all are riding in 55 degree weather and I am riding in mid 20's. As a matter of fact, the high here today was 25 with single digit wind chills. And to think only a couple of months back I was bitchin' about the heat and humidity.:hmmm:

And also, Roll Tide Roll! (even though the tide did lay down a few times this season)
