Recycle Your Tubes!

Team mtbnj in conjunction with Dark Horse Cycles will be running a tube recycling program at the DH40.

I have been in contact with two businesses in Washington that will recycle the tubes into dog collars, flip flops, leashes etc. All we need to do is collect and ship!

We will be collecting both road and mt bike tubes.


The guidelines are:
No slime tubes
Do not cut the tubes up. They will remove the stem.

Look for recycling bins at registration at the DH40.

Clean out your garage and do something good for the planet at the same time....

Yes, I believe just tubes. Sandals made out of tires stink, or so I hear.

This is a great idea. I encourage everyone to play along. I was looking at the reg list and a ton of people from the site are racing, so people should chime in and say they're going to bring stuff.

I'll have a bunch for sure.

No tires, just tubes. perhaps in the future I can find a tire recycler too, but this time around...just tubes.

I wont be at the race, but I'll pass the tubes I've got off to someone who will.

i will be there and i will be cleaning out my garage for however many tubes i can find!!

I'll bring some... I can also transport (a small amount) from other folks not heading up to the race if need be.
