Going Long and Hard.

Yesterday I installed and set up every Indoor App I could find. After buying new Sensors because my Garmin ones seem to be spotty. I couldn’t get the Bkool App to work no matter what. It finds everything and says it’s connected but nothing happens.

Same issue with IndieVelo which is supposed to be the original Zwift guys. Also looks like a PS2 game.

Rouvy worked and it actually pretty good graphics wise.

The Wahoo X App is the only one I did a longer test on although of course none of the Wahoo stuff works with Wahoo because Wahoo sucks, my Garmin stuff worked in the Wahoo App. Like my pedals don’t even show power but it finds them and shows they’re connected. Dumpster 🔥 But, the actual graphics and real life UCI training programs are dope enough that it might be worth buying a Smart Trainer and trying this whole process again.

Hey, the track is only “officially closed” but not “actually closed” so I have some time before I need to drop coin on rollers 🥳

Got out with Stef from the Madison shop this morning for some laps. Was super fun having someone to ride with.

Might take advantage of the weather and go back tomorrow with my pursuit set up to dial in that position in real life before plopping it on a trainer.
 
Do you have a zwift filter ? this looks like one of the rendering engines set to "almost real"

Don’t blow up my spot. Trying to get some Indoor Street Cred so I can be like the cool kids that prefer Virtual Reality.

Was out again this morning with the Pursuit setup. Pretty straightforward workout. After a 30 minute warm up I put on the Race Wheels and did 1k on 1k off really just focusing on the jump and transitioning to the aero position. In real life this is done well over 1500 watts but I’m not nearly confident enough to put in that start and then swap in turn 2. My pace is obviously way off for this distance because there isn’t a fast twitch muscle fiber in my body. Running 1:20-1:27 efforts. Only rode off the track twice 😂

is that picture of the bike the alternate definition of "track stand"? 😛

i rode there once after one of the Bicycling Mag fall classic events and could barely stay on the track with a regular road bike in the turns. its so much steeper than it looks in pictures.
