Going Long and Hard.

Have you tried White Castle Impossible burgers? On a scale of cardboard to Tito's Burritos, how to you rate them?

All impossible burgers make for a rootin' tootin' time, good for shop warfare.
BK's Impossible Whopper is kind of shit though compared to White Castle's variant. But I guess if I wasn't eating meat burgers, both would still be awesome. I would quit meat for White Castle's Impossible. If only it was the comparable in price and easily found in supermarkets.

FWIW, all of those are shit compared to the non-fast food impossible (mainly because they are thicker). They also just hit the consumer market in grocery stores, had them on Sunday and they are better.

Here look, you can buy 4 packs for $99 on amazon

If I see it, I'll likely try it. But they seem pricey for now. Also lol:

so is this just trying to cash-in on the hype ? $25/lb seems a bit much.
but then again, a I-Whopper meal is $10...

I like the Impossible Whopper more than the Impossible Sliders. The Beyond Burger is better IMO, but I'll eat the others.

IDK, they just hit the wegmans in princeton last week, so maybe the supply is lacking. A pack that made 3 burgers was somewhere between $8-10 when beyond burgers are like $8 for two? It took a solid year before beyond burgers and sausages were consistently in-stock.

I find the Beyond burger to be considerable better than Impossible, but I like both. It's also not really a fair judgement, because I haven't bought and cooked my own Impossible burger yet. I think I've had just about every Impossible burger from our local restaurants, and the Beyond burgers we make at home are better. TGI Friday's uses a Beyond patty in their burger, and it's probably the best fake meat burger I've had yet. Haven't tried White Castle yet though. They are definitely more expensive, but I'm generally ok with voting with my wallet.

I maybe too rational but why not just eat vegetables if for some reason (moral belief, health or whatever) you don’t want to eat meat?

Protein. And eating vegetables all day everyday isn't as fun as it sounds. I was Vegan until 2004.

I eat all the fake stuff. Morningstar Sausages every morning. I get 20g of Protein in 160 Calories. Bang for the buck that's hard to beat. I'm a busy guy. I got shit to do and make a good enough living to buy things that other people made. I also don't drink alcohol so I have tons of expendable income to buy Impossible Whoppers. Although I don't because they have double my daily allowance of Fat.

Oddly enough Ruby Tuesday’s used to have a really good veggie burger that I mistook for meat a few times. This was 10 years ago too. I think they have changed it.
