Well, my bike lasted 1 week. A stick got jammed in the derailer thing and it sheared the bolt out of the axle bracket thingy. Fucking gay. That means I'm gonna have to run until I get it fixed and I hate running. This better be covered under warranty. :x

Oh man that blows! I've done that before with my rockhopper. Time to upgrade components. ;)

Do you think they'll warranty it? If not how much is this gonna cost?

I would guess it's covered but if you broke it by hitting something then possibly not. I guess it comes down to the shop you're dealing with. When I broke mine, I had to pay for the new derailer but they put it on for free while I waited. Give them a call and explain what happened.

Any websites where I can look for parts?

http://www.jensonusa.com/

http://www.supergo.com/

Thanks Jay but how do I find a Trek 3700 derailer hanger?

Can you take a picture of the damage? The part that broke most likely isn't a Trek part but made by another company like shimano. Did you call cyclecraft? What did they say?

I just called them and they said to bring it in so I'll let you know.

Update:

I totally FUBAR'ed my derailer and hanger. :( They said it should cost less then $50 in parts and they would do the labor for free out of pity. If they have one in stock then I can prob. get it tomorrow. If not I won't get it back until next wed. or thurs. Which means I have to keep running. :(
