I just got a copy of "Follow Me" and it is a crazy good flick.

These guys do some amazing things on bikes. So much so that much of it looks more like MX that MTB. They are hitting HUGE jumps at insane speeds.

This one is so worth getting a copy of:

I got it yesterday and watched it with my boy. I'm a HUGE fan of the Collective films (I guess they lost the rights to the name -- they're now Anthill films) and was jumping up and down when it arrived yesterday. First reactions are it's a little more typical of the NWD-style bike porn films. My favorite sections of The Collective, Roam and Seasons are the scenes that are just beautifully constructed, serene music and amazing filming, like Darren riding the North Shore in the opening scene of Roam, Shandro tearing it up in Seasons, or Vandemham in B&W in The Collective. The filming is still top-notch but most of the music falls a little flat for me. Also maybe they got flack for catering to the Disney crowd in Seasons, but without something out of left field like Cam jumping into pools/Darren jumping into lakes/Shandro riding with his son, my boy isn't nearly into it. I doubt they're considering the 4-year old demo when making MTB films but still it makes me kinda sad my boy isn't into it. Oh well, maybe it'll grow on him. And me.

Fav scenes so far are Cam and Matt in Mexico and Steve and Gee in Australia.

I think if you're into bike films it's a must-get. If you don't have any Collective films, get Roam first.

Great vid. I got it last week. The level of riding was unreal. So fast and so big - like Jdog said more MX than MTB. That guy Ben's backyard was my favorite mostly because of how nicely built the setup was but there were great sections all around.

I totally agree with Justin about the need for more 'left field' or shanagans type stuff. The part where that guy was shooting target for the intro for the backyard segment was good - more stuff like that. Some snowboard movies do a great job with it. Same thing with my 4 year old. He'll watch some snowboard flicks non-stop because of the little funny in-betwen clips. Rome's No Correct Way did a good job with this.

i got this also in the mail = very nice

are there any dvds that are more XC and less downhilly/jumpy?

i do! may i borrow yours?

offroad to athens is worth its weight in gold and then some. i think its the best bike movie ever made. 24 Solo is very, very good and worth seeing if only to see what giving 100% truly looks like (but the film still feels like a trek promotional video to me). race across the sky was decent and worth it to see lance tear it up. However neither IMO is as strong as Offroad to Athens. buy now.

looks like netflix has athens! put it at the top of my queue! =]

they don't have 24 solo =\ it costs $25 baaaaaaaah

watched this yesterday, nothing that you have not seen in the other movies but some really good riding. My favorites sections were with Steve Smith, he just seems like he is riding super, super fast. Semenuk's and Smtih's section with the DJ stuff is good and Semenuk's tweaked out 270 and un-turndowns are super stylish too. I could do without the pure DJ stuff though, saw that same stuff 10 years ago in the bmx videos. OTOH, those big jumps in the middle of singletrack are sick, which is why vandeham's section is wonderful.

I liked the NZ heli stuff and the guys Backyard with the supercross jumps.

The funny thing is that i would hit that stuff w/o a speed check on a snowboard but on a bike I would simply piss myself.

That guys backyard is built crazy good. The rocks on the back of the landings looks awesome but I may think otherwise if I was flying towards them at 35 mph.
