Hey guys first time posting over here. Im working on building up my first 29er and recently got a 2011 Reba 29er with the 20mm Maxle. I have a set of EA70 XC2 but the front hub is a 15mm is there anyway to make that work? If not what are peoples thoughts, should I put a new hub in the wheel if so which and if not what wheel and hub set up would work well?

i would think your best bet would be to touch base with Easton. see what they have to say.

What hub does the front wheel have? Some have interchangeable guts to make it work. Hope Pro IIs for example have different sized cones that you can swap out to fit the appropriate fastening method of your choice.

If you want to lace up a new hub then the Hope is a solid choice. But at that point you might as well just grab a new complete wheel that's tubeless ready.

the hubs are just easton xc two hubs. I couldn't find anything on their website. But no one sells a thru axle that would screw into a 20mm threads but has a 15mm axle?

honestly you could relace your whole front wheel with a new hub if you wanted, but that costs time and money, especially if you cant do it yourself.

my suggestion would be to just sell your front wheel and try to find a matching 20mm front wheel. if not, theres nothing really wrong with a mis-mathed set of wheels, as long as they function the same.

also, if you were interested i have a origin 8 scout 29er that i put a reba race 80mm on the front end, plus a nine speed hub our back. i was debating on selling it. it is a hardtail - wasnt sure if you were looking for duel suspension or not. thanks
