Favorite steakhouses

I'll take any recommendations for bone on king cut prime rib in North NJ. These are a hard find, our Stockerton,Pa joint changed hands and now fail the grade.

Not to toot my own horn but it’s hard to get motivated for a good steak dinner, if you can make a proper one at home. It’s definitely fun to learn different techniques and not have to pay the crazy prices of the fancy spots. We go out maybe once or twice a year to a fancy place for the ambiance, the awesome sides, and to escape the kids.
This. Will add that @jmanic posts many pictures in the cooking thread of awesome looking meats.

Oak in Easton is top notch. Char / Luger / Wolfgang’s level but not quite as much $$$. Not a bad drive.

Edit to add you need reservations. Always. And you have to call. No online reservations.
I prefer Blue in Bethlehem over Oak. But I think that's a little far for the op.

As many said Char is good....

This is why I recommended Stage Left's burger. I'm spoiled by the steaks I can do on my BGE. At home we never spend what's really necessary to do a great burger at home. Mark said they grind all their prime cuts to make the burger meat. To quote Samuel L. Jackson, "this is a tasty burger."

Top steakhouse for me is The River Palm Terrace in Edgewater.

As enjoyed Wayne Steakhouse. The owner was part of Peter Lugar Steak house. The steak did not disappoint.
Agreed, my dad used to live in Edgewater and we went there often. Probably one of the best Steaks in the country, that I've tasted. And while, its not cheap by any stretch, its not as crazy as some places have become.

Keens in the city just got sold to a conglomerate. Might be worth it in case quality goes downhill. I’d recommend going at least once for the experience.

Love that place, just don't go there before a play if you want to stay awake!
