This is about a ten hour ride. You need to be prepared for any thing.

This is last years group.

I did this ride last year it was alot of fun. Its not a race more of a group ride. Nice mix single track, fire cuts, and roads. You can ride for miles out there without seeing another person.

Is there an "A" group so we can go a little faster? I'd be down for like a 6-hour pace. Or, if you have a GPS Route I'd be happy to lead a faster group if there's interest.

-Jim.

Last year the halfway point was Chatsworth. There's a road side hotdog stand and a parking area where we left a car with extra water.

So far it appears no one is handing over their route, which can be a good thing!
Get out there and make your own! The pines are (in my undersized mind) endless!
A good place to start is the ranger station at Rt70/Rt72 circle, whatever that one is called.
They sell (twenty I think?) topo maps from the USGS of the entire pinelands, for $5 a piece.
From here you could plan some killer LONG fire road routes.
You can also purchase topo maps (pretty damn detailed too) from garmin for your gps device.
But don't forget the double track, single track, deer trails, and (my personal favorite) fire cuts in between.
The pines are AWSOME.
But so are the people going on this 100k! I wish I could join you!

I lived in Manchester for a few years and know that area pretty well but you guys are talking south of that by a lot right?

No, and yes
Manchester state forest has some pretty big stretches of nothingness
And on the other side of rt539, Greenwood state forest has miles and miles riding
And then there's the stuff to the south and west

This is a group ride. Sorry Jim but we don't have a GPS track. The area were talking about is between the 70-72 circle and Forked River Mountain. These are unmarked trails so you need to know where your going. As for the route it's not been fully laid out yet but it will be a round trip.
