eye protection

So I'm the idiot whose blind in one eye and still don't ride with protection. Literally if I poke my good eye, and that one's not so good I'm screwed. Since switching to fullface helmet been looking at getting googles instead as glasses seem to screw with my vision. Any recommendations down this road.

I use a adjustable standup desk so I just raise it at the correct level to make it easier. It also helps that I am basically use a 40" 4k cheap tv as monitor 😀

as a "coder" I have one screen in portrait mode so I can see more lines - no matter what I do, I have to tip my head.
love them for driving tho - look out and everything is clear (20/15) and when I move my eyes down to the dash, that is clear too.l

I wear my readers a lot. The progressives are worthless at the computer. I can't be moving my head to see the top of the screen.
I wear my progressives on the computer all the time. It's equally blurry on the top and the bottom of the screen.

Also wear progressives at the computer. My biggest issue is the "close" part isn't strong enough so if I'm doing something on my phone, my glasses end up on top of my head.

I have progressive safety glasses for work as well. I had plans for using them for riding too, but the frames don't work as well with helmets as my regular metal frame glasses.

At my recent eye doctor visit, he suggested cataract surgery, which in theory would eliminate or reduce my need for glasses... which honestly sounds wonderful... Especially since floaters have gotten out of control in the past month or so that makes working on the computer a bit taxing. Next step will be finding out how much of it my insurance will cover, if any...

I have a pair specd for middle distance and blue light just for computer use. Also a pair just for driving and others tinted. Miraculously I've never lost a pair rotating 5-6 different pairs

I'm a few years from surgery as my doc just noted cataracts just starting, though the floaters won't go away. As you age the vitreous fluid dries and you'll continue to get more floaters. It drives me crazy especially since I had a retinal tear 3 years ago . Also same for me with near vision, I also read books 6 inches from my face without glasses, if large print, I can pretend to be normal.
