how does the Mine handle rain like we're having today? Considering a ride tomorrow afternoon, first timer
It should be fine. If anything the rocks might be a little slick...but if the sun pops out for a couple hours it'll probably dry right up. Make sure you hit Blue and Yellow for some rocky fun. Lotta first timers miss those and say White is boring.

We park in a small stone filled lot right on the white trail on Frank Street in Mine hill. You will come off RT46 to 1st street to get there. Head straight up white to the top and hit up either blue or yellow both loop back around to White.

If you're in a hurry I think the gravel lot on Frank St is the most direct to the trails. Climb the fire road up from the lot and you'll run into the White singletrack at the top. Follow that for a bit and you'll run into Blue and Yellow. Those trail heads are sort of opposite one another (I want to say you'll see blue first and yellow is up maybe another hundred feet) and both loop back to white.... makes for a fun little figure 8 loop and will dump you back on White for the outer loop of the park. Depending on pace and stops you can probably tackle all of that around 1.5 hours.

A large tree is down across the trail near orange and gate. There is a go around forming.

Few things down on blue.

Some soft spots. Leaves covering most of trails. Slick in some areas.

Trails are SUPER leafy but everything is good. A couple wet sections on the fireroad near the lake but that's to be expected. I didn't try the trail across the stream as that's usually wet in dry conditions. I would stay away from that.

Aside from the leaves in a few areas conditions were primo today. Super crisp even after 12pm. Need more people to come break down the leaves on Blue!

The wind did its work. Semi-wet but firm. I finished the ride with barely any dirt on me. Leaves are getting packed down so the trails were all easy to follow. Orange has some leaf piling in spots. Mostly cleared a tree on orange about 2/5s of the way up. Three minutes and a handsaw would finish it.

Side note on orange...There's a rock ramp about halfway through. Looks like someone is making a line to the left around the tree.

Thanks for the intel! I wanted to ride there today but figured it would be soft from yesterday’s heat wave. Will check it out tomorrow!

The white on top was wet and soft yesterday thanks to the little snow and melt we got. It should be getting better days by day as it drains and absorbs hopefully. The rest of the trails were good.

One more note - if you can’t ride it don’t make a ride around. I added a lot of extra deterrents to this go-around.

Yellow is notorious for the pop up go arounds... thanks for blocking that one off. At one point over summer some jackass actually built a barricade in front of the feature and created a ride around. Probably some over cautious parent.... People also get bad this time of year with cutting straight through those switchbacks to avoid all the obstacles.

Agreed. Annoying. I fix it as soon as I see it.

Was good this morning aside from a few half-frozen mud holes on the creek crossing trail. Of course it's raining again now so this is useless info.

Typical mid-winter conditions. Should be good for those looking to ride tomorrow morning before the thaw. Leaves started to fill in some of the trails again, but they're basically clear of obstructions. A disappointing amount of frozen ruts. Significantly worse than the last couple of years from what I can recall.

I'm shocked
