Rode that trail in the downhill direction yesterday. Great mix of flow with a couple rock gardens. Fantastic addition.

Yep that’s it. Rough but obvious potential
They haven't been able to get lifeguards for a few years now and my guess is they just stopped trying. They don't want people swimming in the lake after the drownings that occurred in 2022. That being said, I paddle board in that lake and people go in the water all the time near the boat launch area. It's also the only area were the monster weeds don't attack you.Forgot to ask the other day. Seems the beach is closed. Is it bc the water is unsafe or just can't find/pay lifeguards? Just wanna see if i'm gonna get the clap if I jump in after a ride.
Did you try this trail? I thought sourlands was was something until i tried a small stretch of this. Had to abort since i was on my xc bike with baloney skin casing tires. 🤣Rode everything except green. Great conditions today. Checked out the new trail and it's decent. Pretty chill except that 20ft rock garden is probably the toughest in the park. Came across this double trunk on white, right about at the orange junction. Skipped it the first lap, but manned up on the 2nd:
Then there was this one on the doubletrack below Marty's that I wasn't messing with:
Yup. Ride orange every time (down direction only). While orange is tough, it's been armored in an intentional way with bigger rocks and i know the lines. I usually dab once or twice on it but that's usually due to the combo of tech and climbing on the few short ups. The rock garden on the new trail is all natural and there is no line. Just gotta power thru the chunk.Did you try this trail? I thought sourlands was was something until i tried a small stretch of this. I’ve done orange both up and down. Haven’t cleaned it fully in either direction. Came close once, but no cigar. It’s tough either way.Oh good, I'm not the only one that dabs a crux move on orange like every time
You're fast! We just cut those yesterday as temporary cut throughs for the race in a few weeks.Spied a few fresh cut-thru’s today. Not sure if these are official or unsanctioned. All three are very short so I’m not sure they have a purpose?
Gotcha! They looked pretty fresh and I suspected they might be for an event of some sort. But given how we’ve had some chuff from unsanctioned trails in the past I figured I’d raise. You're fast! We just cut those yesterday as temporary cut throughs for the race in a few weeks.

They will be closed back up after the race.
Yes. Best draining park in North Jersey.Looking to ride here this weekend, most likely Sunday. With the rain we got the past couple days, would Dickerson be ok to ride this weekend?
