Besides the obvious (fruit, veggies) any other neat things/things you know are good that I can do with it?

any type of lean beef works - cut out the fat, cause it will go rancid, which is a good band, but not good eats.
either sliced, and dried, or ground, then rolled out, cut with a pizza slicer (or make a jig) - this comes out nice, cause the spices are inside, rather than on the meat.

the leather thing is fun. cheap, frozen fruits tho, not the good stuff.
Bananas rock, especially if coated with a bit of maple syrup just before they finish up.

on the apples/pears, i use a coring tool, then slice them on a mandolin - so there is a hole in the middle of each. a little salt and citrus help with flavor and preserving, and
not oxidizing.

We use ours a surprising amount!

Probably the best is fruit leather, all kinds.

Fun fact : you can also use your dehydrator to dry your bike shoes after a particularly wet race/ride. Just clean it really well before you make more fruit leather.
Note to self, never try your shoe fruit leather

don't forget kale chips! and any other fresh spice, dry and freeze basil, sage, etc...
firm tofu works - but needs to be sliced, then marinated, then dry rubbed with something to give it flavor.

good start!

tried yogurt, disappointing
Mango on the other hand was AWESOME. I used those yellow (champagne?) type

try frozen soft tofu, changes consistency completely
trick is to first cut the soft tofu which isn't as hard as it seems
pour the soft tofu brick on one hand, do a lateral slice with a thin blade then the rest in whatever size you want
have it land in a basin of water so it doesn't break when falling out of your hands
lay the tofu flat on a pan lined with saran wrap and freeze over night, next day rinse out with water (it will be like a sponge, so squeeze out the excess water)
now season as you like with liquids or dry spice, when I had a dehydrator, I even used brandy
due to the consistency it locks in the flavors really well
let me know if you tried this and how it turned out

What does a Polack like almost as much as sausage? Deep frying shit. Dehydrated potatoes don't fry into potato chips, but the texture is very intriguing. They flash fry almost instantly...6-7 seconds.
