the Darkhorse Gallop approaches!
June 21st!! what could be a better fathers day gift than sweet stewart singletrack!!

head on over to bikereg and get yourself signed up. save a few bucks and make our lives as humble promoters just a little easier!

this is race #3 in the Campmor H2H race series
all H2H race series rules apply
this is a usa cycling sanctioned event. you must have a license. one day licenses available for cat 2 and 3 racers. one day license fee $5.00

course is still under development but if you liked the ss-apolooza course or you heard how awesome it was you will definitely enjoy the gallop.
course will be roughly 7.5-9.0 miles in length. more details as they become available.

hope to see you all out there!

It must be trippy to be inside one of those things..

Being that they are a wet design they must have an insane amount of momentum once they get going??

course info

ok,
course info hammered out.
it will be different than the ss course but utilize some of the same sweet trails.

1.8mile prologue. start in the usual spot on the road about 1/2mile down from base of hill. make left into the campground road(double track), proceed to campground trail, pop out onto road, make left and climb gravel hill.
at the top of hill you will make a left into major mike. your first lap starts here.
there are 6.5miles of sweet singletrack which brings you back to the base of the hill. you climb up and finish at the top.

you will only ride the prologue trails off the start. you will not go back thru there.

it will be fast and fun!!

course will be marked on monday. there is a benefit ride in there sunday so we have to wait till after the weekend to mark the trails.

if you preride saturday the 20th be aware that the SPARC buffer bike tour is that day. parking at the rt207 gate may be limited. they will have volunteers there that may ask you to park in one of the alternate lots. please be aware that there will be riders of all skill levels in the park. please be courteous, cautious and aware. our trails will be marked and will not overlap theirs however watch for 2 way traffic.

yup.
same start and finish. issue we have is with the larger classes we need to let them spread out a bit more. finishing at the top of the hill give the scorers a better view of all the numbers and makes the sprint finishes that much more exciting(painful)

I'm thinking gears for this one for sure then.

Straight up the hill. Straight pain. That's my motto.

this will be my first Sport race. Wish me luck... unless your in my Class..in that case ill forgive if you dont wish me luck...

bring some tecnu just incase your hanging out on the trail side.
I got some poison from SS palooza. I dunno how but it happened.

course map

Place is pretty notorious for its poison ivy patches.

I get it on me just being in the same zip code.

Compared to Wayway and Tymor. What are the trails like? Wide like wayway? Hilly like Tymor? Get out in front type of race or save the energy till the end type?
