Cougars, here we go again.

I rode up on a lynx(the larger version of a bobcat) in Wawayanda one day. Didn't know what it was but it had the stubby tail as it was running in front of me in the same direction. It ran off to the side of the trail and ducked down in the bushes to watch me go by. Had the black tipped ears and everything. Was thinking of trying to take a picture but didn't want to get eaten either. I said stay there kitty as I passed by and then hauled a$$ once I was far enough away hoping it wouldn't chase. Pretty exciting to say the least. I'm a firm believer that the mountain lions are out there.

Only that an "exotic pet" can mean anything depending on the town and state. Years ago a ferret was considered an exotic in some towns. In another direction, certain breeds of dogs are considered "agressive" and in some towns (like mine) you need to meet qualifications to own one. Things like fixed structure holding pens with half million liability insurance.

True in some area for wolf-dogs
