Coffee

So this past weekend was traveling and friend mentioned Cometeer coffee. No machine or set up necessary except ice/freezer.

Anyone try? Thinking might be good to have when away but have access to hot water.

looks like instant coffee to me, which i have not had any good experiences with, i simply carry an aeropress when i travel. As long as you have hot water its about the simplest travel brewing i have found, and easy to clean/store.

Interesting, especially the part on the site that says, "The highest quality beans from roasters like Intelligentsia, Counter Culture, Onyx Coffee Lab, and more." - hard to argue that's a bad start.

@2Julianas - is this the stuff you talked to me about? Seems familiar.

Yes I got this as a Christmas gift. It’s awesome. Frozen pods that you melt in water. Can also stay fridge temp in the pod for 3 days. Delicious.

It’s really good @Robin and def good for traveling. I’ve ordered it a few times! Well-known roasters. Can melt in hot water, cold water, or milk.

Antother good travel option is the instant packets from Verve coffee. That’s my go-to for traveling on a plane. Just add water as well!

I've been drinking a mixture of this for the last week or two as my second cup of coffee for the day. It's really quite refreshing. 70% cold brew, 30% jalapeno limeade (or just lemonade, whatever is available). 20250616_100453.jpg

The local coffee place had a "Rosemary lemonade cold brew shandy" on the menu. My curiosity won out over my disgust. Been hooked ever since. Otherwise, I haven't had anything other than black coffee for years.
Well, earlier in the day I told my 8yo daughter “I won’t yuck your yum” when she described her love of dipping her pickles in ketchup. Maybe I’ll try this coffee thing some day, but probably not lol

I feel like the word Shandy and the word Shart are related. Either way, enjoy your Arnold Palmer coffee!

A few days after this post, I did get some wicked bowel movements. Might have been from all the mold under my lid that developed because of all the sugary juice.

I'm pretty diligent about cleaning that thing, so it grew pretty quick on there. Anyway, I'm back to just black coffee. Shandy's were fun while they lasted 🤣
