Clipless pedals

Guys I'm considering going clipless. I have a giant revel 0, will any clipless pedals fit this? And I'm looking for something decently priced but reliable. Anybody have any suggestions?

Any 9/16" pedal should work for you, which is most if not all. You'll find a couple of camps on here...many like Shimano while others like Crank Bros. My suggestion is to hit your LBS and try shoes and pedals at the same time, since you can't go clipless without getting shoes. It's a matter of preference and what's important to you...easy in/out, mud clearing, weight, etc. Good luck!

Agree with PJ, check your LBS and see what they offer. PJ did forget about the Time brand (ATAC series) which sheds mud pretty easy as well. I used them 10+ years ago and when I came back to the sport, they were my first choice.

just tried shimano after years with crank bros... i found the shimano to hard to get out - gonna switch back... agree, all a matter of preference

I just did the opposite. I've used SPDs since the 90s, just moved to Crank Bros and don't think I'll ever go back. I even want to ditch the Looks on my road bike.

I love Crank Bros, however I seem to kill them. Currently trying Time ATAC Carbons, like the CB's better for quick entry.

I use Eggbeaters (Crank Bros) and really like them. Very easy to clip in and they don't have any problems with mud. I only broke on wing after years of abusing them.

i agree that it is personal preference i too am a crank brothers guy, i have a set of candys and a set of eggbeaters.

I know why you are gravitating towards the 324s, they look beginner friendly. However since they are one sided, they are more difficult to clip into. They are also heavy as hell.

Better off with 520s in my opinion.

I have been on eggbeaters for about a year by default and curse at them on just about every ride. I hate them period after 2 decades of spd's I truly miss them. So anybody want to trade 2 sets of xt's for eggs sl's...

I have used the same set of 520's for 3 years now best 35 buck i spent yet...bought mine from amazon.

Agreed but my wife rides my mtb from time to time and she won't do clipless. So I like the versatility.

520's

-cheap n proven
-uses regular pedal wrench
-adjustable tension

why pay more?

I have the XT. Same pedal (25g lighter... seriously who cares?), uses allen tool to remove (pain in the arse), costs more. I would have just saved a few bucks and gotten the 520's.
