Chimney Rock Conditions

Great conditions today, save for a couple soft spots. Bunch of broken glass on red alongside the reservoir (near all the downed trees) - got a puncture that gave me trouble the rest of my ride. Picked up what major pieces I could, just a heads up when riding through this spot.

F-ing drunks, this sucks!!

Agree that conditions are awesome out there right now. Blue outer loop was in much better shape than 1 week ago. Usual neas towards the bottom but it's getting better.

There’s a down tree on the orange river segment very close to the quarry overlook. It’s doable uphill (that’s the way I do it) but someone blazing down hill may experience unwanted excitement.

When did you see this? I think it's already been cut out between my Monday & Tuesday rides.

The tree on upper black was also removed.

Conditions are perfect, btw. Go ride before it gets too dusty!

Monday morning. Thanks for the heads up

August conditions in April! Mother Nature is throwing out temperatures like they are lottery #'s. It was great today, I like getting home and not feeling obligated to hose the bike off.

One more tree thats been down for a bit on pink/yellow interior.

It really got hammered yesterday. My attempt at riding lasted about fifteen minutes.
What trails did you check out? I was staying hopeful for fun Monday tomorrow 😕

We did get quite a bit of rain, but it was so dry on Friday I don't think it will take long to recover.

While driving around this morning we went past the Raritan River and it’s extremely high.

I think it should be ok tomorrow night if it doesn’t rain again. But the overnight doesn’t look splendid.

I checked out upper blue and some of white. Also drove by the trailheads of orange and yellow.
I felt like it was so dry it would have been worth the effort. Most of what I came upon was splashes but as the standing water (it was everywhere) was absorbed it was softening.
I’ll bet yellow is fine. It seems to hold less water in my opinion.
The ground was thirsty and everything is beginning to wake up for spring. I’ll bet it’s fine by Tuesday.

I just got back from a road ride in the general area of CR, and the ground is saturated right now. Even parts of the roads are still seeping water from yesterday's rain. Unfortunately, the sun didn't come out today which would have helped a lot.

I would agree with @Jrzjoe that Tuesday should be ok. Tomorrow is looking like a Schrodinger's Cat situation right now. Someone needs to go observe it so it picks a state.

Bummer, I was planning to head over tomorrow morning, guess I'll skip! Weekend forecast is not looking promising either...
