@qclabrat. When you are negotiating to buy your car at the BMW dealer, you tell them that you are interested in the European Delivery program. Not many buyers at the dealership seem to participate, so it seemed as though the dealership was very interested for us to do it. Also, our salesman at Bridgewater spoke German, so he was extra interested that we wanted European Delivery.

There used to be a page on BMW USA website that showed the discount (% saved) per model. Savings could be anywhere from $2500-6000 maybe. Really depends as it is a % of car cost, which depends on the options chosen. Also, you'll save some sales tax on the lowered price. Depending on how short/frugal one's trip is, the cost of the trip might be covered with the savings, or maybe not. Depends a lot on the cost of airfare. My wife and I use hotel points to stay for free during our trip.

We thought we were also going to get the $3,000 Holiday savings as well, but I think they said we could not get that and the European Delivery discount. That would have been really great to get both.

Also, we are members of the BMW Car Club so we got $1,000 from them when we sent them a copy of our invoice.

That's insane! I can't believe the prices of the air cooled cars. I had a friend who sold his low mileage 94 turbo for $220k! The car was a beast but i personally don't see the value in those cars. The style is cool but the driving ergonomics are pretty bad and i can't stand the floor mounted clutch pedal! 997 is where it's at for me personally. I think it's the perfect car

Today I saw a guy at QuikChek with a RHD MK4 Cabrio. SOunded like it had a VR6 swap in also but I didn't get a shot of it. Looked like absolute ass, sounded like a monster as he pulled away.
