Car-spotting thread

Helping out the last 2 days over at Ashley farms in Flanders. Sunday starts fresh turkey pickup and these people go crazy so need to keep the crowd manageable inside the farm store and keep the line moving.

Some sweet rides my fav was the RS6 wagon with whatever mods he did I heard it coming before I saw it especially the downshifting with the custom exhaust. Guy gets out with the wife, and 3 kids under the age of 5. Nice family sports car hauler.

The Maverick with the color matched bed cap looked pretty good too. Wonder how much extra that cost.

Liked for all but the IOM Green G80 😛

Except for the M2. And the Egg-yolk lights on the 992 look equally bad, but because it says Porsche on the front it gets a pass?
I'm not sure the 992 lights could ever be considered equally bad as a modern BMW grill. Any non car person wouldn't even notice the different headlights at all. They'd just see a 911. My wife as a non car person, will point out how atrocious the newer BMW grills are. You really can't miss them.

Actually I made a mistake, 996 not 992. The 992’s look great. I don’t know, the 911 is an iconic shape, and the front of the car is unmistakable, with the lights being highly noticeable. Never mind the IMS issue with those cars. Porsche has made some major missteps over the years. The stupid buttons on the older PDK cars instead of paddles and going to a 4cyl for the Cayman, although I didn’t think the 2.5 sounded as bad as everyone on the interwebs did. The only reason I didn’t get one was I got the inside scoop that the 6 was coming back 2 years before it did.

Well, the 996 is shit on even by Porshe peeps. If you can deal with the looks, it is considered a good value as a used car once the ims is taken care of.

992.2 Carrera T released.

They cheapened the interior (except for that shift knob which is fire!), took out a gear without shortening ratios (booo!) and charged you $10k more. I really liked the old manual tach. Yea, they give you some performance features that you probably won't notice, but its not like they needed to source those, they've been options for years. I say keep yours.

Agreed. Nothing here worth upgrading and the price increase should help mine retain value. Mine was 128 and it's now 142.
