Car-spotting thread

So the guy around the corner seems to be always working on his slammed s-10 which I previously posted. It’s actually nice to look at with a cool paint job and what sounds like a beefy motor.

Of course this means he has other slammed vehicle friends but this one makes zero sense to me. Kinda clapped out Mitsubishi pickup ?

Got an extra pic of it compared to his F250. Almost looks fake.

That little Mitsubishi truck is likely air-bagged. Actually looks pretty clean to me. Would be fun to have something like that for local driving.

I have a soft spot for the days of compact pickups that were actually compact, going back to the Chevy LUV and the Japanese trucks of the 70’s.

It's kind of weird being in WNC with a huge amount of small pickup trucks around. They're all basically used/abused but it made me realize they're basically non-existent in NJ.

I'd very much consider one as an extra vehicle for driving around town & picking up stuff from Lowes as they're not obnoxiously huge.

Mini truckin scene was and will always be awesome.

Too much drop to be static. Def bagged with notched frame, and remade bed to tuck it all up nicely.

No fat chicks tho, Truck will scrape.

In high school I used to cruise around Spottswood and EB in my slammed dark green s10

My rental was a SEAT Leon Estate FR. SEAT is part of the VW group (my colleague pointed out the switchgear) and it looks like it's based on the same platform as the Golf. I got this thing with ELEVEN km on it, which had me worried. In the USA, as long as the rental car is not actively on fire when you return it, you're good. In Europe, you pull into a return lane with the lighting set to Interrogation and they go over every inch of it.

Hit an indicated 218kph on some unrestricted bit of autobahn (break in!), which was probably really 210, or 130mph. Not bad for 1.5L. It's a 'mile hybrid' which means (I think) a little 48V system that does not do much. It did one very interesting thing though - the drive system seemed to be road-aware. If I was coasting on a clear road, it would coast forever, occasionally shutting off the engine. If I was heading towards a roundabout, it would regen aggressively. It was also reading speed limit signs (the actual signs, not from a database - my wife's MINI does the same minus warnings) and would warn me when speeding.
