Car-spotting thread

Much like other stupid car trends.....you figure this started with rally racing and the anti lag system..... Which has a purpose... This is just a tuner intentionally making a car run shitty when you lift off the throttle.... I can't imagine unburnt fuel running thru and exploding in your exhaust is very good for the life of your cats, but whatever.... Doesn't even sound good, like Jesus when did this become a cool sound?

Haha I like the sound of popping and backfiring, as long as it's not too crazy. I posted a video of a Subaru (I think) last year that was ridiculous. Mine has a decent level of both - no tune required.

I'm sure a lot of them actually have cats too because they need to pass inspection. Hopefully the smart ones don't. But besides melting your cat, the turbines don't last long and I'm sure it affects oil life too. It's great when people do things for looks without considering the costs down the road, or realizing that cars that actually run anti-lag probably get a turbo rebuild after every race.

He is undecided. But with the current market, he'd let the Corvette go for 42+. After following me for 1000+ miles this summer, he wants something that stands out and is more exotic sounding. And possibly a PDK/DSG/DCT. Lol, all my fault.

His current desire is a R8 V10. We shall see.
My neighbor has a convertible R8 he's about to sell.

Can't go wrong with the R8 - rarely see them and that V10 sounds amazing.

Looks like I'm going to have to get that Lamborghini Hurracan to keep up with you guys.

I saw one of these today parked in the Long valley lot at Columbia Trail but forgot to get a pic so got one off interwebs.

Immediately started looking around for a Reeb bike and that Jeff dude since now he's branched off into his own line of pickup trucks with Trail Boss on it. 😛
