Car-spotting thread

no idea why people want to drive those turds, but whatever.

Speaking of turds....I went and checked out a Jeep last night....2006 LJ unlimited. 115k miles, in really pristine, @Carson like condition. It is completely stock, original condition

I really liked it....but then I took it for a test drive....it has been a while since I have been in a TJ....God, it was just so terrible. The ride, the sound, the experience.....Just totally changed my mine. This thing made my 56 year old mustang feel like bmw 7 series. Maybe for $5000, but he wants alot for it....and its a perfect condition LJ and they sell for good money, but after driving it, no thanks. If you happen to be looking for a perfect LJ, PM me....
If that’s the manual trans 6cyl
version it’s a bit of a unicorn I’m guessing he was asking over 10K for it.

This one was an auto...I mean unicorn is a little strong for an LJ...you can find them all over FB marketplace, etc...finding a NICE totally stock one in this condition is alot harder. But hes asking 18 for it....looking at BAT, I have seen a couple sell for as high as 16 that were autos....6 speed, LJ rubicons...those go in the 20's. And I would have paid 15ish for it....but after driving it....holy shit...NO. Rarely to I hop back into my 180,000 mile, 11 year old ford focus and swear im driving a caddy.

I was at the Hunterdon 4H fair this weekend and there was a Wrangler 392 at the Ciocca booth. No sticker so I asked the guy how much? Response: $100K 😮, ok thanks, but no thanks.

So leaving work today I was carrying some extra stuff so when I walked into the parking garage I couldn’t take my sunglasses off.

Walked over to my car and the car didn’t unlock when I pulled the handle. Thought oh shit I lost my car key. Put my bag and other stuff on the car and dug my key out. Still no unlock. Pressed the button and tried again still nothing.

Pressed lock unlock like 5 more times and I hear something that sounds like it unlocked but it’s still not working.

Well it wasn’t the key going bad. It was the wrong car.🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

In my defense parked right next to me (mines the one with the hitch )

aftermarket clutch kit is $1100, OEM is $2k.....
how hard can it be - the trans is in the back!
They apparently need to drop the motor to do it, then there's also the 50% "Porsche Tax". Also, if you don't do all of your service at Porsche, it affects the resale value. If I get one of these things, I plan to drive the wheels off it, so this won't really apply to me.
