‘64 or ‘65 Studebaker Commander spotted in the retirement community where my Mom lives.
Curious what kind of drivetrain it has. It’s got Lakewood traction bars and a modern automatic floor shifter. Body looks fairly clean.

Isn't this slower than a base model Tesla at this point? I feel like bragging about 1/4 mile times is over being every Soccer Mom in Summit can outrun you 🤣

Tesla ran 9.40s @150 which is of course insane... But 8.20 and 9.4 (or really the mph 150 vs 167) is like the difference between me vs a red bull pro xc racer. I'd guess on that 911.. Probably 1000 hp vs 1500 hp

@ChrisG so I was reading some rules for different races...theu have definitely loosened the rules up substantially. I think they are letting people slide on parachutes if you leave the stock brakes on a more modern car... Like a 911,etc.

Ya that's insane... I mean still, 8.2 and 8.99 big difference... actually it's my one complaint about the Tesla I have yet to see anyone be able to seriously modify one and say go from 8.99 to 7.99 like most performance cars, but of course..
8.99 is batshit crazy for a factory vehicle.

For example, that guy from palm beach dyno went 8.65 in his 2020 gt500 on the stock motor... Tesla is just take out weight and better tires, other than that, can't do much
