Car-spotting thread

Mixed reviews on it. I’m eager to try. I don’t think it will do good city driving but does well in surburbia.

To engage auto park roll past the spot and R gear. Screen should register and ask if you want to start auto park. VOILA! it’s actually really fast on the model 3. Faster than most humans

Go ahead, try parallel parking with this. I’ll wait.
Whatever you had done at D&M give it a good look over. They did some not so great work on my sons car. I refused to take it and went over everything with the manager. They did correct the issues but they never should have been there.

I work at D&M. Sorry you weren't satisfied, we do our best and appreciate the business. Glad we were able to make it right for you at the end.

Too bad he didn’t have much time to enjoy it.

The girl i was dating during HS her brother had one of these. It was like riding in a go kart quick off the line but no top end really. fun to ride around in

The 3rd car I owned was one of these, but the '84, non-turbo model. You are correct, it was a fun little go-cart that couldn't get out of its own way once you were done with 3rd gear.

At the same time, one of my buddies had an '86 Omni GLH, the turbo-ed econ-box body version of this. I think it had 150hp, and the torque steer in 1st and 2nd was ridiculous.

Yes, it was made right, and ultimately I would use them again. The paint match was very good on what is probably a difficult color, GM garnet red, which iirc is 3 stage (it was a camaro, you probably remember it, (or if you're the mngr you remember me refusing it) it wasn't there that long ago, there's pics of it here a few pages back). The average person probably would have been happy with the issues I had, everything I went over with the mngr about was attended to and I was very happy after adjustments and corrections were made.

500+ miles and an overnight stay into Sullivan, Delaware, and Ulster Counties. Pepacton Reservoir and a few others. NY-97, NY-28, NY-10, NY-8, NYC-1, NYC-4, all great roads.

The R8 and the 800hp Jeep SRT were great company.

That was the one with the carbon ground effects I think? Maybe last summer... Yes, I recall the car, I think you dealt with Bob. Cool that we got it all sorted at the end for you and we actually appreciate the chance to make you happy. Cheers!

My brothers and I talked my Mom into buying an Omni GLH Turbo when she was shopping for Omnis. Luckily she knew how to drive a stick and liked it. We put a waste gate bleeder on it and embarrassed many poorly driven Mustangs and Camaros of the era. Yes, torque steer was real on that one!
