Looks pretty similar to the procedure for replacing a headlight.
How many hours does that pay? And how long did it take you? GM times for evap cores are unrealistic, we loose time on everyone. No wonder techs are leaving dealerships.

Most of our front cores pay 6 to 7 hours. Actual time is 11 or more. The new freon R1234 machine is a real money looser too. It's getting hard to even make 32 hours per week.Paid 750
I think I had 860 total

Key word is Salary.Glenn still got paid his salary - And his employer has to be happy it got done in one shift (or pieces of two) -
i look at it a couple ways - it probably ended up a wash, as the profit for the covered hours was lost to the other other hour.
it could have taken 12 hours. if it doesn't squeak when it is done, ya gotta call it success.
there are other areas to make money - just keep the customers coming back. In the end, $$$ will be made.
Key word is Salary.
I'm flat rate only get paid for what the the book says. Plus if no work, no pay.
GM dealers have no cash customers. We have effectively priced our cash customers to go somewhere else @$170.00 per hour. Only warranty, goodwill, or crybaby assistance. The good ol days of making time are gone.
Dealers don't want to pay for good techs. They figure anyone can be trained to turn a monkeywrench. Ads for employees go unanswered, nobody wants to do this for the crappy pay, lousy benefits, stupid hours, and no future.shit - if you can wrench, you should be able to make a living. is this the same at all the dealers? i have a cousin at konner (formerly?) - he ran the body shop, which the new owner shut down.

The Bosch Icon wiper blades are worth more than the tires.
