Can we organize a kids’ day at Creek or any regional park?

Building a solid and fun Green trail is a lot of work to build and especially maintain. So far, the only good ones I've seen are at Highland and Bryce.

My understanding is that Bluephoria was built for an enduro event and doesn't seem to have been touched much since. And by "built" I mean they taped it out, cleared leaves and let racers riding the trail actually cut it in.

Yes, Thunder has excellent Blue trails as well as a few "blue diamond" trails that are labeled Black, but only due to a few features that are not mandatory and the rest of the trail is just fun, natural tech.

Edit: Now that I think about it, Thunder has a decent Green trail as well - Sugar Line. I remember it being a mix of machine-built flow with a bit of natural single track. Trillium is a good "next step" as it's not too steep and gets its tech from a few rocky and/or root sections. Really makes me want to get back there. I haven't done any park riding this year, despite being an hour and a half from Highland. 🙁

MC needs to go in and clean up their Blue non-flow trails. It's kinda ridiculous how a trail like Water Boy is designated intermediate. Anywhere else in the country, that would be considered a Black diamond. A few re-routes and alternate lines is all it would take to make it better.
Creek is sorta the opposite as the ski designation, creek snow blue is a VT green. However for mtb it is the opposite, many of the tech blues at creek would be a black, maybe even double black at Killington. The green trails at killington were slower and had less features than 6 mile and a few of the blacks were definitely blue territory.

If there was any complaint with creek it’s that you always filter to the same lower trails once you get to a certain spot.

Will be at Creek Saturday with the kids. They are 12 and 15, both intermediate riders. Post up or message me if you want to meet up.

Realize this is over a year old... but Waterboy used to be a black trail. In fact, for the longest time all of those trails on the left side of the mountain (looking up) were either black or double black. Outlaw, Bushwack, Tempest, Frog Pond were all black. Not sure when/why they blue'd them, it's not like they got less technical. *shrugs*

We've all gotten more awesomer is the why.

Right now, every trail is so ridiculously blown out, cratered and rutted, they might as well be black diamonds now.

Back on topic:
Saturday, 11/2 - kids at Creek. Ride with us. Post or message me.

had same plan today at creek, got there after 1, got on lift line, 2 minutes later they close due to wind, GAHHH

Forgot to post these. My kids can almost clear all the lines on Tempest. Still landing short on the biggest tables but nailing the drops (with a little flair 😁).

It’s safer than the big progression drop at the bottom of the mountain. My kids always go into that one too hot. Every time we’re at Creek, it’s a given that one of them will slide out on the dust and fall off the side. 😂

Will be at Creek Sunday, May 4th with the kids. They are 12 and 15, both intermediate riders. Post up or message me if you want to meet up.

I bailed. It went from 20% chance of rain to 90%. I cancelled the bike rentals. Me and the kids are bummed. ☹️

It's a long season don't stress . They have a big dh race coming up in a couple weeks so all the effort will be put into that . Besides having a bunch of trails still closed and the lift malfunctioning almost all 3 days it's been open thus far waiting a few weeks will probably net a better experience. Hopefully lol
