Bring a Trailer - OMFG or On Topic

I guess in that they both have round headlights in the rectangular grille, but many late 60/early 70s cars had that

it was a pretty common at that time

Square headlights weren't allowed until the mid 70s.

wonder if this look was something that came out of the ability to create multiple cars off a base, and easy model year revisions?
just change up the grill - it certainly was easy enough to put in a couple springs and a couple adjusters to mount them.

I think it was just the popular design for those years, 68-73 or so... Similar to everyone going with the over and under headlights from 65-67, or the jet plane cues from late 50s to early 60s...

To me 1970 was the best year, style-wise for the Mustang, Challenger/Cuda and Camaro (split bumper). They all looked great that year. Nostalgia pulls hard.

I always thought the ‘69-70 Shelby’s front clip looked a bit like the ‘71-73 style Mustang but I’m more concerned about that ‘69 Charger 500 being labeled a ‘68.

I was actually trying to find a pic of a 68 with the headlight doors opens....then I remembered the 500 didnt have hideaway head lights....but ya, 69.

I always thought these were such beautiful cars...designed by Giotto Bizzarrini and Giorgetto Giugiaro who are pretty legendary...and powered but a tree-fity, so, good soundtrack also.
