I like Foose's show where they restore a project car for someone who really needs it. But I don't like his cars either - I like restomods that look externally like the original car. Don't like the pimpmobiles

@rick81721 wishful thinking for under 40! Ha. I was remotely interested but lazy to put the seats back. Other 4 seater v8 options for way less.

I actively tried for this one but the wear and tear held me back but if it was in NJ maybe I woulda went more for convenience. But hot damn. What can you buy for $23,500 (including fees and tax) these days even close to this!

Maserati - Italian reliability. Looks great but not known for reliability. Pretty cheap for a neat car though.

3000GT - "Dodge of Japan" couldn't be more apt since that car was also sold as a Dodge. Those 3000GTs are really interesting but are known as one of the worst cars to work on with that twin-turbo V6 shoved in there and lots of gadgetry.

My neighbors are total car people. He owns a repair shop and goes thru nice cars like candy. She has a fully restored 67 Camaro and while she goes thru daily drivers too, she has leased 3 Maseratis. They said it's the only way to "own" one.
 
If you are on FB there is a nice looking 2008 Porsche Boxster special edition (ORANGE). Pretty fair price but has a weird stolen and recovered record on carfax. I don't know what to make of it. Like it was cargo'd from HI and CA and then the port claimed it was lost or stolen or something. Kind of weird but if I'm in the area... Seller seems like a P car fan and owner of many. He didn't see any problem buying it with that on carfax.

The color is great, but I need a roof over my head. I ignore my doctors enough by not staying out of the sun. A convertible would really be pushing my luck.
