Bone stock 2009 Specialized Hardrock, need stuff...

I'm new to mountain biking, but not biking in general used to race BMX back in the day... Just bought a 2009 Specialized hardrock and want to get some stuff for it and want to know what the forum advice.

Stuff...

Computer
Tool bag / tools
Pedals
Light
Water bottle

Can't think of anything else right now.

go with a hydration pack rather than a bottle - the bottle cage is for the battery for your lights.....not that we night ride.
put the tools in the hydration pack -

depending on how long you are going to ride, and if you like to look at the screen while riding, which makes the trees approach faster, a smart phone may be all you need to track miles/speed * progress over time.

that will save you some cash for some good clipless pedals and shoes

there is a light thread somewhere, take a look, good stuff.
